Beginning with an overview of Bucksport, Maine, using videos, photos, and graphic images, module users can experience the “look” and “feel” of the community and the lives of older community members. This local context then becomes the launch point for explorations of several topics of interest and concern to rural elders and their care providers. Developed primarily for healthcare students and professionals, the Bucksport ISM serves as both an educational resource andf interactive learning experience. It is intended to be incorporated into traditional or web-based instructional programs.
